Registered Nurse First Assistants (NSAA certified)
- RNFAs are not reimbursed by Medicare.
- RNFAs are reimbursed by Medicaid in limited states.
- The following states have legislation that limits the outcome of denials:

We submit claims for surgical assistant services provided by a RNFA in ALL states regardless of specific legislation in your state.
Certified Surgical Assistants (NSAA certified)
- CSAs are not reimbursed by Medicare and Medicaid.
- CSAs may elect to register with the following states for maximum reimbursement. (Click on the specific state for more information and how to register for these certifications.)
